★4 - Best all-in-one platform for non-coders, but advanced configs get complex

The backtesting could be better (it's functional but not as detailed as dedicated backtesting platforms), but for quick strategy validation it does the job. Where it falls short: once you move beyond the prebuilt templates, the configuration options become quite complex and the documentation is not always clear on what certain parameters actually do. I've had to experiment a lot to dial in settings that work for my pairs. If you're comfortable tinkering, you'll get value. If you want something that just works out of the box with zero configuration, you might find it frustrating after the initial setup.

★4 - Still using it after 18 months — here's the real picture

I've run 3Commas bots across Binance, Bybit, and KuCoin since early 2025. The multi-exchange support is genuinely useful — I manage everything from one dashboard instead of logging into three different exchange UIs. The DCA bots are solid for sideways markets and the SmartTrade terminal is good for manual entries with automated take profit. My main gripe: during high volatility events (like the March flash crash), the bots either lagged or missed executions entirely. Not a dealbreaker for daily use, but if you're relying on it to catch rapid moves, you'll be disappointed. Also worth noting their 2022 API key incident — they've since added IP whitelisting and better key management, but it's something to be aware of. Overall I'm sticking with it, just not betting the farm on it during volatile weeks.

I researched 3Commas, Bitsgap, Coinrule, and Cryptohopper before choosing. Here's the reality: 3Commas markets itself as beginner-friendly with a free tier, but the free plan is so limited you can't really use it for actual trading. You need at least the Explorer plan ($15/month) to run a single active bot with any useful features. The platform itself is well built — the DCA bot logic is sound, the paper trading is genuinely useful, and the mobile app is decent. But the pricing adds up. If you want SmartTrade, multiple active bots, and the strategy marketplace, you're looking at $30-50/month. On a small portfolio that eats into returns fast. I ended up going with another platform that had better free-tier features, but 3Commas is still a solid choice if you have the capital to justify the subscription. Just don't expect the free plan to be anything more than a sandbox.

★3 - Decent but pricing is getting steep

Its a good bot no doubt. But the new pricing plans are kinda crazy ngl. Used to be way more affordable. The advanced features are locked behind the pro tier which is like $60/month now. For that price i expect a bit more tbh. Still using it cause migrating is a pain but considering other options.

Set up a composite bot on SOL and BTC pairs 3 weeks ago. Connected Bybit API in like 5 minutes. The DCA logic is clean — picks up dips automatically, takes profit at my targets, no emotions involved. Up nicely so far, which isn't life-changing but it's better than my manual plays that usually lose money. The marketplace has some decent signal providers if you don't want to configure everything yourself. Only complaint is the mobile app sometimes lags when switching between bots. Also FYI the free plan is useless — just go straight to the Explorer plan, worth the $15. Overall: if you can't watch charts 24/7, this is a good copilot. Just don't expect it to snipe memecoins — wrong tool for that.

★5 - Best trading bot I have used

Tried like 4 different bots before this one. Cryptohopper, Bitsgap, some random telegram bot that rugged me. 3Commas is the only one that actually does what it says. The trailing stop feature alone saved my ass multiple times. Running 3 DCA bots + 1 grid, all green so far. Swedish krona deposits work fine thru Binance.

★4 - Grid bot is decent

Grid bot works ok. The interface translation to chinese is kinda broken sometimes but the bot itself is solid. Made decent returns last month on SOL grid. Wish they had better WeChat support tho cause discord is blocked here had to use VPN just to ask questions lol.

★5 - Finally making consistent gains without staring at charts all day

I started trading crypto several months ago and was losing money because I couldn't watch the market 24/7. A friend recommended 3Commas and it's been a game changer. Man this thing is fire. Started with a small bag just testing the waters and my portfolio has grown nicely over a few months. The grid bot on ETH/BTC pairs is where its at. i dont even know coding or nothing just followed the presets and let it run. Best money i ever spent on a subscription no cap.

★4 - Good but notifications sometimes delayed

Its good overall. Connected to Binance and Bybit no issues. The smart trade feature saves me a lot of time. Only complain is notifications sometimes delay like 2-3 minutes which can be annoying during volatile moves. But for swing trading its fine.

★5 - Running stable since February

Been running since February and honestly its the best decision i made. DCA bot configuration is a bit overwhelming at first but once u get it, it just prints money. Support team actually responds too which is rare in this space.
