★3 - good marketplace, mediocre execution reliability

I've run Cryptohopper alongside 3Commas for about several months to compare them. Cryptohopper wins on the marketplace/strategy sharing front — it's much easier to find and deploy community strategies. But it loses on execution reliability. I've had multiple instances where the bot stopped trading without any notification, or where order execution lagged significantly during volatile periods. The backtesting is also less accurate than 3Commas — I've seen backtests show impressive returns on paper that translate to far less live. The user interface feels more cluttered and less polished than competitors. On the plus side: the strategy builder is flexible, the exchange support is broad, and the community is active and helpful. The pricing is competitive if you commit annually. Cryptohopper is a solid choice if you primarily want to use marketplace strategies and don't need absolute execution precision. For algo traders who build their own strategies and need reliable execution, I'd lean toward other options.

I've been running a Cryptohopper DCA bot on BTC and ETH for the better part of a year now and it's been a consistent earner. Nothing dramatic — averaging modest returns depending on volatility — but it's completely hands-off. I check it once a week, adjust take-profit levels if needed, and otherwise let it run. The setup was straightforward with their templates, and the paper trading gave me confidence before going live. I did have one incident where the bot stopped for 2 days without notification (market conditions triggered some safety feature), but support helped me resolve it quickly. Japanese support is actually good which is rare in crypto tools. The documentation is translated properly not google translate garbage. Strategy designer takes some time to learn but powerful once u get it. Running a custom EMA crossover strategy on 5 pairs and its generating steady returns. Fees are reasonable compared to other bots in japan market.

★5 - from zero to profitable in 2 weeks

I'm a complete beginner who knew nothing about trading bots 3 months ago. Cryptohopper's YouTube tutorials and marketplace templates got me from zero to running a profitable DCA bot in about 2 weeks. Started with paper trading, then went live with capital on the Explorer plan. Now running funds across 3 hoppers with different strategies — DCA, grid, and a trend-following setup from the marketplace. Up pleasantly profitable, which is way better than my manual trading. The community Discord is super helpful — I've gotten strategy advice and troubleshooting help within hours. The only thing I'd warn beginners about: the free tier is basically just a demo environment. You need at least the $20-50/month plan to do anything meaningful. But if you're serious about automated trading and willing to invest the subscription, Cryptohopper is the most beginner-friendly platform I've found. Just start small, use paper trading, and be patient while you learn.

★4 - the marketplace makes it easy to get started

Cryptohopper's killer feature is the marketplace — you can browse strategies, templates, and signals from other users and copy them with one click. As someone who doesn't have time to build strategies from scratch, this was the main reason I chose Cryptohopper over 3Commas. I found a few well-reviewed DCA templates, tweaked the parameters slightly, and had bots running within a day. After 3 months, my best-performing hopper is up modestly. The paper trading mode is essential — I test every new strategy there for at least a week before going live. Downsides: the marketplace quality varies wildly. Some strategies have great backtests but fall apart live. You need to be selective and check the strategy creator's track record. Also, the pricing jumps quickly — the free Pioneer tier is very limited, and you'll want at least the Explorer plan ($20-50/month). The mobile app is functional but not great. Overall: if you want a platform where you can browse and deploy pre-built strategies without coding, Cryptohopper is the best option. Just be selective about what you copy.

★3 - Ok but exchange connection drops sometimes

The hopper is fine when it works but the exchange connection to Indodax keeps dropping. Like every few days i wake up and its just disconnected sitting there doing nothing. Not sure if its Indodax API issue or Cryptohopper issue but its annoying. When connected tho the returns are decent, solid on BTC pairs. Fix the stability and its 5 stars.

★5 - Works really well

Brazilian trader here. The bot handles BRL pairs on Binance pretty well which is rare. Been using the DCA hopper for BTC/BRL and ETH/BRL and its consistently green. The mobile app is actually decent unlike other bots ive tried. Withdrawal and deposit in reais through Binance works smoothly. Recomendo muito pra quem quer começar.

★4 - Korean exchange support is lacking

Works great with Binance but Upbit integration is kinda meh. The arbitrage hopper is what i use most and its pretty fast — caught some nice KRW/USDT spreads. Wish the Korean exchange support was better tho, most of us trade on Upbit and Bithumb here. Community templates are hit or miss, gotta test everything yourself first.

★5 - Paper trading helped me learn so much

I was totally new to crypto trading and this bot literally taught me. The paper trading mode let me test strategies without risking real rupees. After 2 months of paper trading i went live with a small amount and now seeing steady growth. The mirror trading feature where u copy other traders is also neat. Only wish they accepted UPI for payment but crypto deposit works.

★4 - Simple and effective

Using the marketplace strategies saved me so much time. Bought a template from some guy called CryptoManiac and tweaked it a bit for ETH pairs. Running 24/7 on a VPS and its been pretty consistent. The trailing stop-loss sometimes triggers too early in choppy markets but overall profitable. Good for people who dont want to code their own bot.
