OctoBot does what open-source trading software should: install, point at an exchange, start trading. AI-managed strategies run alongside GRID and DCA bots; TradingView Pine Script integration ports over existing strategies; Telegram bot gives you mobile control. Paper trading mode for risk-free testing. Supports Binance, Hyperliquid, Coinbase, and a dozen more exchanges. Self-host on Docker (free, GPL-3.0) or pay ~$9.99/month for OctoBot Cloud. Plugin system for devs, web UI for everyone else. Recent additions include Solana support and AI strategy suggestions. The trade-off: it will not replace a quant's custom stack, and advanced users may hit walls on strategy complexity.

OctoBot deserves way more attention than it gets. It's a full-featured, open-source crypto trading bot with a clean web interface, Docker deployment, and a modular plugin system. You can run it on a $20-50/month VPS and have a professional trading setup in under an hour. The strategy library covers all the basics (grid, DCA, momentum, arbitrage) and the plugin marketplace lets you extend functionality. What sets it apart from other open-source bots: actually usable GUI. No config files, no terminal-only — you manage everything through a web dashboard that looks like a paid product. The backtesting is solid, the paper trading mode works well, and the community is friendly and helpful. I've been running an OctoBot grid strategy on ETH for 4 months with consistent results. The only real downside: it's primarily focused on spot trading. Futures and margin support exist but are less mature. For spot traders who want open-source flexibility with a polished UI, OctoBot is the best option I've found.
